Canadian laws are severe

While all forms of Canadian law is strict, in this article we will concentrate on driving laws. We will discuss possible consequences for a person who has violated the rules of the road.

We will start with DUI violation. Fine is the best thing that might happen to you. But there is a system of demerit points in Canada, which makes the situation a lot worse. Everything looks fine for people who don’t know that demerit points are accumulated and after a certain limit action becomes possible. If you have 6 point the Ministry of Transportation will send you the letter to warn about your bad driving record. Nothing serious, isn’t it?

If the letter has no influence on you, after 9 points you will have to attend an interview and explain to the ministry why they should not suspense your driving license. If you fail to attend an interview it will automatically lead to suspension of the driving license. Finally, at 15 demerit points driving license will be suspended for a months and if you don’t surrender you will face a suspension for 2 years. As you can see impaired driving ontario can do a lot of harm to you as well.
